Namur, the Crealys® Science Park
A major tool of provincial economic development policy, the Crealys® Science Park has over 100 hectares ready to welcome business projects. The only prerequisite is Innovation with a capital I.
Lying halfway between Namur and Gembloux, in proximity to the E411 and E42 motorways, the Crealys® Science Park (98 companies – 1,600 jobs) welcomes companies that share the same view of innovation. Crealys® is reserved for companies both large and small that design or develop new products, new processes or new services.
Sharing ideas
Crealys® works very closely with the two universities in the province (the University of Namur and Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech), as well as with leading research centres and colleges. This type of collaboration inevitably leads to the development of favoured sectors. The main fields of researches are life sciences, information and communication technologies and quality management. In addition to synergy with the research world of the province, Crealys® has also developed a close partnership with Walloon administrative and economic institutions. A range of services are available to companies, providing assistance, advice and support. Crealys® is also closely involved in the Science Parks of Wallonia network or SPoW and the IASP (International Association of Science Parks).
Wide range of host infrastructures
In addition to high-tech fully-equipped sites, Crealys® offers a range of infrastructure to innovative project leaders.
Seven business incubators provide modular spaces for young promoters of innovative projects which enable them to find their feet before they really take off! The park also hosts an incubator called Regain. The low-energy building has factory space for companies involved in production activities.
Finally, the Business Center, the latest concept put in place, offers flexible formulas for implementation, with the provision of turnkey buildings. A worry-free solution for the contractor.
Ecolys
Ecolys is a Thematical business park dedicated to eco-construction and sustainable development. It is located in the extension of the Namur-Nord-Rhisnes business park. It depends on the Provincial Economic Bureau (BEP). The park provides companies with specialized services in environmental diagnostics and sustainable certification. It thus adopts a proactive philosophy, by which it accompanies the companies implanted within it in their eco-responsible dynamics, by offering them, among other examples, supports and information, as for the techniques of eco-building, the societal questions and especially on the aspects of energies and mobility.
Care-YS
Care-YS aims to welcome companies active in the health sector, and more specifically in matters of: autonomy of the elderly, sick or disabled peoples, nutritional health and e-health. The current context of hospital operational reconfiguration favors home care and the merger of services. In the same way, the current medical, social and digital transformations lead the services to the person to specialize by developing adapted products to ensure the autonomy and the integrated care of the patients. These developments constitute an opportunity for the development of new economic activities whose variations are multiple: ergonomics, new technologies, home automation, natural food supplements, but also centralization and merger of services related to health.
