Namur Heritage

A cathedral, castles, citadels, mansion houses, villas, parks, gardens, great and small traditions – the heritage of the province of Namur will win over even the most demanding lovers of art and history. The province of Namur abounds in testimonies to an age-old region. They bear witness to a past that dates back to prehistoric times, continues through the Merovingian and Carolingian Middle Ages, teems with events in modern times and still radiates throughout Europe today. In 1999, the UNESCO registered the belfry on the list of World Heritage of Humanity.
